The staff at the Ottoman are truely great! They can't do enough for you and are always cheerful and smiling. The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere.Setting is spectacular.Food good, though we did eat out mostly.Highly recommend...
There was nothing we did not like.We have travelled fairly widely and would put this holiday on our top 5.

The hotel guests are 80% elderly English with good manners, very polite to other guests (greeting each other at breakfast, good atmosphere, etc.) and they like to hang around the pool reading books and in the middle of the day they retreat to their rooms for a midday nap. The duplex room, the hotel itself and the whole town are in a beautiful Ottoman style, really stunning. The stairs in the duplex room up to the bed is not for the fainthearted though as it is +/- 15 steps high and quite wobbly. The river passing the hotel is really beautiful to travel by boat (3 Lira per person) and the nearby restaurants (Cennet restaurant) have good quality food for good price in a stunning natural environment where you eat on a deck in the middle of the river. Akyaka is really a stunning location with beautiful nature, mountains, river, etc. Perfect place for photography.
The only beach that is nearby is not really used by tourists, there are no beds or anything. Therefore, the holiday is limited to staying in the hotel (if you do not use a rental car) where the food has high prices for Turkish standards (30 lira per person for dinner or lunch and than the drinks in addition). the pool at the hotel is very nice though, with good beds and free towels.

If you're looking for a peaceful and serene getaway, this hotel is just what you need. the hotel is located by a river and has beautiful gardens where you can relax on bean bags and soak up the sun. the rooms are well-equipped and very comfortable, with spacious bathrooms. the hotel's staff are friendly and will go out of their way to make sure that you have everything you need. the breakfast is delicious and can be enjoyed outside by the pool. the pool is large and perfect for swimming.
The hotel can be quite noisy due to thin walls, so you may need to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The whole experience was fantastic. We only booked 1 night and wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms, food, staff and general atmosphere could not be topped
It was quite near a fresh water river and it had a lot of mosquitoes but the staff provided insect repellent.

Very relaxing. Good location.
Very uncomfortable bed in Room 111. Very small balconies i.e. no room to sit out.

A beautifully finished hotel set in a tranquil riverside location. Plenty of space to relax and atentive staff. Breakfast a fantastic treat and evening meals also excellent and good value. 5-10 minutes walk to Akyaka village and beach. A very Turkish resort with plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. The Ottoman residence is a treat and will suit those those looking for peace and quiet - oh, and the pool is superb.

The hotel had good amenities, including a nice swimming pool and daily cleaning service. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was great as it was near the river, which provided a beautiful view. the hotel offered a shuttle service to nearby attractions.
The size of the rooms and bathrooms were small and not very comfortable. The breakfast had limited options and the quality of ingredients was not up to par.

Beautiful Setting and Friendly Staff the hotel's setting is breathtaking, with a stunning garden overlooking the river. the atmosphere is peaceful and serene, perfect for relaxation and unwinding. the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a memorable stay.
Limited Sunbeds and Room Amenities One thing that can be improved is the limited number of sunbeds available by the pool. Guests often have to wake up early to secure their spots, which can be frustrating.
